Job Description

Under supervision of Program Management, performs work in support of those providing services to an adult population composed of persons with substance-use disorders, SMI, dual-diagnoses and/or referred persons. Responsible for providing administrative and clinical support for Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), to ensure accurate and timely data collection and entry, reporting and electronic medical record maintenance; performs related duties as required. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Functions as the specialist to enter and maintain sensitive information in the AHCCCS Service Confirmation Portal and EVV portal.  
  • Acts as the main scheduler for member appointments in the EVV portal. 
  • Serves as the primary program liaison for AHCCCS Service Confirmation Portal and EVV coordination with clinical leadership and other departments.   
  • Reviews treatment records and coordinates with clinical staff to determine service duration.
  • Submits AHCCCS Service Confirmation Portal, EVV, and other health plan support documentation, as required. 
  • Reviews reporting related to EVV services and coordinates with clinical leadership.
  • Ensures all member authorization and EVV confirmation documentation is present in the electronic health record template.
  • Coordinates with other departments regarding EVV service data entry, maintenance, and data validation.
  • Prepares progress notes, event notifications and other documentation regarding members in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. Monitors case load daily to ensure required documentation is completed timely.

EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A High School Diploma/GED and three years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting; OR
  • An Associate’s degree and two years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting; OR
  • A bachelor’s degree in the behavioral health field; OR 
  • A non-behavioral health field bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Some assignments require an Arizona DPS Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card 
  • Some assignments require a current Arizona Driver License and a current satisfactory 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Background Check
  • Minimum 1 year recovery from drugs and/or alcohol
  • Minimum typing speed of 25 wpm
  • Possession of, or the ability to obtain, the following:
    • CPR and First Aid certifications
    • Evidence of freedom from infectious pulmonary tuberculosis
